t is a terrible incident. It’s a unique incident, but if it continues then it would become a routine. Sialkot is not the city of Taliban or Mullah Omer, its the city of Iqbal, the great poet of the world and its also the city of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, another great soul. Apathy of our nation is so grave that if media doesn’t repeat such horrible act of brutality, then nobody cares, and if media tells it again and again, then the people become accustomed to it and get immune to such acts of terrorism.
In every human, there is a sadistic streak, but his humanity always keep it in check. This humanity separates us from the animals and the beasts. Our social attitude, collectively have become victim of apathy and cruelity. Police was there, authorities were there, the whole village of Butter was there, and 7 or 8 people kept on beating and lynching the two boys until they were dead.
