Nancy Pelosi to Receive Planned Parenthood Award for Being the Best Darned Enabler of Baby Murder in Congres
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and junior Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D) will receive awards at a Planned Parenthood reception Thursday evening (July 2010) on Capitol Hill.

The awards will be presented by the organization's president, Cecile Richards, who is also Pelosi's former deputy chief of staff.

The Champion for Women's Health award recognizes "efforts to support women and their reproductive health." It was presented one other time this year, in March, to seven congressional staffers.

Both Pelosi and Stabenow have been recognized in the past by Planned Parenthood, Stabenow in particular for her work in 2009 on a women's health resolution that was included in the stimulus package.
