lick for higher quality audio/video: www.youtube.com Grace Moore sings “Vissi d’arte” from Puccini’s “Tosca.” This is from the February 9, 1946 Met broadcast of the opera with Caesar Sodero conducting. Other cast members included Jan Peerce, Lawrence Tibbett, Salvatore Baccaloni, Alessio De Paolis, Lorenzo Alvary, George Cehanovsky, Mona Paulee, and John Baker. Moore was obviously a bit.. tired by this late point in her career. This was both her last Met performance and broadcast. She was to perish in a horrible Copenhagen plane crash while on tour less than a year later.
Video Rating: 5 / 5
