DDA housing scheme 2010 (The Delhi Development Authority )cheme for 15,000 fresh apartments

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is all set to announce a scheme for 15,000 fresh apartments sometime in September this year. DDA vice-chairperson Ashok Kumar Nigam said on Thursday 5th August 2010 that these would be flats located in areas like Jasola, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Dwarka. Of the 15,000 houses, nearly 8,000 are ready for possession, while the rest are in various stages of completion.
A number of these flats would become ready for possession once the officials and athletes for Commonwealth Games vacate the same in the middle of October after the mega event. Some 2000 flats are presently under finishing stage in Vasant Kunj pockets. Another 1500 odd flats, which were also to be completed before the mega sporting event to host the officials and foreigners during CWG, have not yet been completed. They are likely to take another four months till they are ready for possession.
